Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari

This 6 days tour will give you a chance to visit different national parks such as Queen Elizabeth and Murchison to explore the beauty of Africa. You will see a number of animals such as buffaloes, lions, leopards, giraffes, elephants and many more through doing several game drives. Additionally, you will do a boat cruise to enjoy more aquatic animals like crocodiles and others.

Day 1: Pickup from Kampala or Entebbe – Drive to Murchison Falls National Park.

Upon arrival, a driver from Adventure in the wild safaris will pick you up and begin the drive to Murchison Falls National Park which will take you over 6 hours to arrive. You will have a stopover made at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to see the Rhinos. Then proceed with your journey with an en-route lunch in Masindi town. Drive to the park arriving in the evening. Check-in at your lodging, relax and have an evening game drive

Day 2: Game drive in the morning – Boat cruise on the river Nile.

Get up early and eat breakfast while you wait for the driver to pick you up for the game drive. The Nile River’s banks will not be far from the wildlife drive location. Antelopes, lions, elephants, cape buffalo, warthogs, jackals, Oribi, giraffes, hyenas, the Uganda Kob, and leopards can all be seen in this area. Keep an eye out for nocturnal animals returning to their dens after a night of hunting. Birds are very active in the morning as they become enthusiastic about a new day of feasting.

The driver/guide will return you to your lodge for lunch and refreshments following the afternoon boat tour. The boat tour travels upstream and concludes near “Devils Cauldron” at the base of the Murchison Falls. The Nile River cruise provides an opportunity to see many of Africa’s well-known animals. One of Africa’s highest densities of hippos and crocodiles can be found here. Elephants, Uganda Kobs, waterbucks, countless other antelopes, and water birds will all be visible. The variety of birds on display, which includes the secretive Shoebill stork, Goliath heron, Pelicans, bee-eaters, Egyptian geese, kingfishers, cormorants, and hornbills, will impress birdwatchers. The journey comes to an end with a magnificent view of the Murchison Falls from the tranquil waters.

Day 3: game drive and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with stops to see the countryside.

After breakfast, drive to the park for a morning game to see the animals that you may not have seen. Then get back to the lodge for your packed lunch and luggage to transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Arrive in the evening, get to the lodge, refresh, have dinner, and overnight sleep.

Day 4: Game drive at the Kasenyi Plains – Boat cruise at the Kazinga Channel.

Get up early have your breakfast and take the first game drive in the Kasenyi plains, where you can view herds of elephants, hyenas, leopards, lions, and many kinds of antelopes. In Uganda, Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the best places to see birds. In the park, over 495 bird species have been identified, including 11 different kinds of Kingfishers, as well as falcons, eagles, raptors, and black-bee eaters.

You will be taken for lunch as you get ready for the launch cruise at the Kazinga channel. One of the best spots in Africa to see aquatic life and other animals. Get back to the lodge for Dinner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge.

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Get up early, have breakfast, and then set out towards Kyambura Gorge park headquarters to have a briefing on the rules and regulations of trekking chimps with your lunch and water. Once you come across them, you will be given time to stay with them as you are taking photos. Get back to the lodge for Dinner and overnight at Buffalo safari lodge.

Day 6: Tree Climbing Lions of Ishasha – Transfer Back to Kampala.

After enjoying breakfast, and getting ready for the trip back to Entebbe or Kampala. On your way to Kampala, you will pass through the Ishasha Plains, where you can see the Ugandan lions that can scale trees. Have a stopover in Mbarara to eat lunch and continue with your journey arriving in the evening. You will be driven to the airport to get your flight back home.
